Ecosia, DuckDuckGo and Bing: search engines currently out of service

If you are currently searching for something on the search engines Ecosia, DuckDuckGo or Bing, you may not see any results. All three search engines appear to be affected by outages of some magnitude, making it impossible to find web results. The search sometimes works, but errors and failures can occur with the second or third query. It can be assumed that the underlying error lies with Microsoft's search engine Bing, which forms the basis for Ecosia and DuckDuckGo.

DuckDuckGo: An error occurred while displaying search results.

Try using the DuckDuckGo search engine or the address bar in the DuckDuckGo browser If you are trying to find something, then there is a high probability that you will get the message “An error occurred while displaying search results. Please try it again.“ – for me personally, several attempts did not result in search results being displayed. For now, there is probably no other option than to use an alternative search engine, such as Google, to quickly find what you are looking for on the web. However, it can be assumed that a solution is being worked on in the background.

DuckDuckGo down: The search engine shows no results.

Ecosia: There was a problem loading search results for...

Do you want this as an alternative? Ecosia search engine If you use it, you will also encounter an error message. During my test there was the note: “There was a problem loading search results for... Reload the page or try again later.“ – Here, attempting a search query later will probably be the method of choice. Because even on the second and third attempt nothing useful was shown to me. If you feel the same way: Switch to another search engine for now, because it is not yet clear when the current error will be fixed.

Ecosia down: There are no search results here either.

Bing: Seems to be working again

When I searched using the Bing search engine, I was now shown results again. The search engine on which the aforementioned services are based seems to already have a patch for the problem. It is not yet clear when this will also become noticeable with Ecosia and DuckDuckGo. At the time this post went to press, they were not yet working again.
