One of the core tasks that office software is designed to make easier is word processing. On the computer, a lot revolves around text and its design: writing letters, designing forms, making lists, designing flyers, publishing memos and the like. Anyone who uses Microsoft Office is probably already familiar with Word. But Apple also has an extensively usable app for word processing, Pages. Using a word processing app such as Microsoft Office or Apple Pages, a wide variety of documents can be created, output in different file formats and printed. In addition to the pure text, which can be formatted in different fonts, sizes and colors, images, tables, diagrams and other elements can also be included. You can design everything from scratch or use one of the many templates in the program. These are available in Pages for macOS, iPadOS and iOS as well as in iCloud. It is also possible to exchange individual documents and continue working on another device.
In addition to working individually on the device available in each case, there are other ways of editing individual Pages documents from different locations. This is possible if the Pages file is stored in iCloud and the "Collaborate" button is clicked. Contacts can then be selected via this in order to grant them access to the created file. Whether it's a temporary home office or collaboration in different places around the world: with this feature, different people can work on a document at the same time and thus make the completion of the Pages project more efficient. I use Pages almost every day, among other things to write posts for the Sir Apfelot Blog. In the app I can easily write down texts, create lists, insert links and already do many other things in advance. Then all I have to do is copy and paste the whole thing into WordPress.
