TimeUSB Power: really cheap LiFePO4 batteries

LiFePo4 batteries from TimeUSB

For a few weeks I have been looking at balcony power plants, solar batteries and the possibility of storing solar power in batteries during the day to use it at night to balance the base load of the house.

This of course raises the question of whether the effort and investment is worth it and whether you actually save enough electricity in this way to be able to cover the expenses again after a few years.

LFP batteries have a high cycle stability and are therefore perfectly suited as supply batteries (Photo: TimeUSB).

LiFePo4 batteries: perfectly suitable, but unfortunately expensive

Unfortunately, the crux of the matter is the price of the lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePo4 or LFP batteries for short), because these are perfectly suited for the task with the high number of cycles, but they are currently still quite expensive.

With every installation of a solar storage tank, the costs for the batteries usually make up the largest share.

TimeUSB: good price and from Germany (plus discount code!)

But yesterday I happened to see a video about another manufacturer that ships directly from Germany and even offers its products on Amazon. The name: "TimeUSB" - I've never heard of it before, but the reviews from other customers give hope for good things.

The products on Amazon are usually a bit more expensive than directly in the TimeUSB shop. My battery with 25,6 volts and 100 ampere hours costs directly in the TimeUSB shop for example 899 euros (as of 15.01.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX).

I still signed up as an affiliate partner with TimeUSB and with the code "SIRAPFELOT" you should get another 4% deducted from the purchase price, if you order this or another battery in their shop.

At Amazon itself it costs 25,6 volt rechargeable battery from TimeUSB about 940 euros - is noticeably more expensive than directly in the TimeUSB shop.

Incidentally, this type of battery must be charged with a special LiFePo4 charger, as it has a different charging voltage than normal car or truck batteries.

I'm still looking for the right solution to charge them with a solar charge controller. I haven't decided on a suitable device yet.

The TimeUSB rechargeable batteries have numerous protective mechanisms to prevent deep discharge, overcharging and much more. According to TimeUSB, the cells are "Grade A" and therefore the best quality you can get.

No customs, no expensive shipping and no long delivery times

What I find particularly nice: I'm not quite as cheap with the offer as when ordering via Alibaba, but I save myself all the trouble, additional costs and the long delivery time that I would otherwise have had if the goods came directly from China would have come.

And if something breaks on the battery, I have a 10-year performance guarantee and can send the device to the dealer within DE and don't have to send anything to China. It doesn't get any better than that.

If you want to expand your solar battery later, you can buy additional batteries from TimeUSB and connect them together.

Apparently great customer service

Before I buy a product, I usually read the reviews on Amazon. Even if I then buy the product directly from the manufacturer.

TimeUSB seems to put a lot of effort into customer service, because the reviews seem to be real to my trained eye and yet there are numerous reports from customers who emphasize the excellent customer service.

As soon as my battery has arrived and I've been able to do a few tests, I'll be happy to give you feedback.

Transparency notice

The links to Amazon and TimeUSB are affiliate links, but I ordered the battery myself there and would have given you the recommendation if I wasn't an affiliate. I don't get any money from TimeUSB either - they don't even know that I wrote a post about their batteries here.
