I just ordered my IPhone 14 Pro 256 GB directly from Apple. This went smoothly and quickly. Delivery date is 16.09.22/XNUMX/XNUMX. What I prefer about Apple is that the order is only delivered in person against a signature. I'm not sure about Amazon. So now my XS is up for sale.

Hello Horst! You had luck. I used the store app on the iPhone and tried it in the browser on the Mac in the shop. First it took 10 minutes until the shop was open and then error messages kept coming. 404 server error on Mac. Something was completely screwed up. But apparently only for some people. But I was definitely not the only one, judging by the reports.
When I finally got through, the delivery date was already 5-12. October. I ordered anyway, but then saw that it was on Amazon with a delivery date of 16.9. was standing. Then I ordered it again. I'll cancel the order from Apple when the thing from Amazon arrives. In any case, have fun with the iPhone 14 Pro!

I called up Apple.com/de just before three, clicked on IPhone and the IPhone appeared. Then clicked on pre-order and 10 minutes later everything was done. I thought resetting my iPhone XS would delete/disable the esim. That's not the case ! The future buyer may be able to make calls at my expense, etc. To check this, I reactivated my iPhone XS and lo and behold, the esim was still active without me doing anything. Ergo, I first deleted/deactivated my esim and then reset the iPhone again. In the past, you simply took out the SIM card!
I don't know if the problem is known or if the purchasing organization deletes/deactivates the esim before reselling it.
Please explain what is actually going on.

I use an eSIM in addition to a physical SIM card, but I would now have to reset my iPhone to reproduce the problem. Instead, I did a bit of searching on Apple's support and community pages. What I found: Apparently, during the reset there is an option to keep the eSIM, i.e. to leave it on the device, or to delete it.
Here it says: "If you erase all content and settings from your iPhone, you can choose to erase your eSIM as well, or to keep it."
Something similar is described here: "You get option to retain esim in next screen after you select continue in the above screen."
Is there a chance you missed the option?
Regardless, I would always advise manually removing anything that can be manually removed before resetting the device anyway. But a check like the one you carried out afterwards is also a good way to be on the safe side. It all takes a little longer, but it can be worth it.

It's entirely possible that I overlooked that. I only got suspicious when I came across the small needle for opening the SIM slot while looking through the original packaging of my XS. As far as I know, with the IPhone 14 Pro you still have the option of using a physical SIM card in D.

As far as I know Amazon delivers new products on their release date, maybe one day later.
They should already have the new iPhones and Apple Watches in stock and be prepared to deliver them on the official release days. Delays may occur when the demand is too high and the products are sold out; but Amazon usually mentions that already on the selling pages.
So, you should get your new Apple device in time. If the email from Amazon describes a delay, feel free to update us.

Unfortunately, not everything worked out the way I wanted it to.
1) Had to order a new screen protector glass because I sat on it (only on the glass)
2) Then I needed to be able to receive an SMS to activate my e-sim. I deactivated the e-sim on the old iPhone. None was received on my IPad 2019.
3) I could not receive the security code to activate my account.
Otherwise, the IPhone 14 Pro works very well
I have requested the required QR code for the e-sim by letter. If I have this, I can set up mobile communications. Hopefully I will then get the code I need to activate my Apple ID on the IPad or iPhone
