Chapter in this post:
I recently got you the new Pitaka protective cases for the iPhone 14 range presented. In the meantime I also had the opportunity to look at one of them and get an impression of the woven aramid fiber surface. I looked at the Pitaka MagEZ Case 3 for the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. The manufacturer sent me the iPhone case with Fusion Weaving in the "Overture" version - below you will find photos of it as well as my impression in words. The fact that the product was made available to me free of charge has no influence on my rating.
What's included: Eco-friendly case and pads for better grip
I had previously looked at an older Pitaka case for the iPhone 12 Pro and it came in a printed box with plastic parts. However, the new protective case for the iPhone 14 Pro came in a revised, more environmentally friendly packaging. This consists mainly of cardboard and is biodegradable / recyclable.
In addition to the actual case for the Apple smartphone, the packaging contains simple instructions for attaching it, a small product catalog if you want to buy more from Pitaka, and three adhesive pads. These pads can be attached to the case if the iPhone is not tight enough in it. It reads (translated): "Use the sticker to improve the fit of the case if it doesn't fit properly due to slightly different phone manufacturing tolerances."
Feel and look of the iPhone 14 Pro protective case
The braided surface of the Pitaka MagEZ Case 3 for iPhone 14 Pro feels supple while still providing a good grip. It lies well in the hand and is very light. Despite its light weight, it makes a very high-quality impression and is sure to withstand a lot. There are no bumpers or other devices that could act as a spring for falls. It is therefore primarily a protection against bumps and scratches.
I personally like the coloring of the "Overture" version of the case. There is also the "Rhapsody" version with Fusion Weaving if you want a different pattern. On the other hand, the editions in gray and black, which can be ordered in the 600D and 1500D editions, are kept simple. There are cutouts for the buttons on the sides and for the speakers and Lightning connector on the bottom. All-round protection is fitted for the camera bump.
Fit of Pitaka case on Apple iPhone
Since I don't currently have an iPhone 14 Pro myself, I wasn't able to test the case on the device itself. at The Amazon but there are already some 5-star reviews with photos and videos that certify a good fit. I can also say that the case I had on the iPhone 12 Pro fitted very well. So Pitaka seems to know how to make matching smartphone cases.
